Our High School aged group has consisted of roughly 12 to 15 students from around the county.

Our rookie year, we participated in FIRST’s 2012 FRC Challenge “Rebound Rumble”. In addition to that competition, the team also showed off their robot for the entire week at the Orleans County Fair. As well as visit for 2 days at the Monroe County Fair, and an off-season competition “Rah-Cha-Cha Ruckus”.

In 2013 the team participated in “Ultimate Ascent”, where we built a robot to climb a metal jungle gym. The game also involved throwing Frisbees, but out team choose to focus on the climbing challenge.

The 2014 season was “Aerial Assist”, a game in which the robots moved and shot large 24-inch rubber balls across the field, and score them in goals, or over a truss in the middle of the playing field.

2015 was “Recycle Rush”, gets a lot of ribbing in FRC discussions.  The goal of the season was to stack large plastic totes into piles, ideally adding a recycling can to the top ( and a pool-noodle inside that ).

In 2016 we stormed the castle in “FIRST Stronghold”

2018 was “FIRST Power-Up”, where we balanced milk-crates on a series of teeter-totters.

Our 2019 season “Destination: Deep Space” used two different (yet related) game-pieces.   The large plastic “hatch” would attach to storage containers on the playing field.   Then large rubber balls could be put into the storage container ( held in place by the “hatch” )

This year, 2020 we are  gearing up to compete in “Infinite Recharge”, where we collect 7″ nerf-like balls, and deliver them to targets on one end of the field.

We have worked hard to increase the number of mentors, and sponsors in order to better accommodate more participants. We are looking forward to a very exciting 2021 season.
